Project Overview
Product: Vet360 Online Appointment Booking Portal
Platform: Web Application
Role: UI/UX Designer
Tools Used: Figma, Adobe Illustrator
Duration: 4 Weeks
Vet360 is an online platform designed to streamline the process of booking veterinary appointments. The goal of this project was to evaluate the existing user interface and user experience, identify areas of improvement, and redesign the portal to enhance usability and user satisfaction.
Problem Statement
The existing Vet360 portal presented several challenges:
Complex Navigation: Users found it difficult to navigate through the booking process.
Inconsistent Design Elements: Variations in button styles, fonts, and colors led to a lack of visual coherence.
Lack of Feedback: Users were unsure if their actions (like booking an appointment) were successful due to minimal system feedback.
Mobile Responsiveness Issues: The portal was not optimized for mobile devices, affecting accessibility.
Our Process
We took an analysis of drop-off points in the user journey and conducted surveys to better understand user frustrations. With this feedback, we developed a new design strategy focused on ease of use and reducing friction during critical tasks.
Key Features Introduced
Simplify the appointment booking process.
Establish a consistent and visually appealing design language.
Provide clear feedback for user actions.
Ensure mobile responsiveness for accessibility on various devices.
Results and Impact
Reduced Booking Time: Average booking time decreased by 40%.
Increased Mobile Usage: Mobile bookings increased by 25% post-redesign.
Positive User Feedback: Users praised the intuitive interface and clear feedback mechanisms.
